Little Lady Foods was founded in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Chicago by the Esposito family in 1961. With the intent to produce and assemble a vast array of packaged food products, the Espositos began to explore the frozen pizza market and it later became their key item in the 1970s and early ‘80s. After several years of insufficient growth, Little Lady Foods was sold to restaurateur Angelo Geocaris in 1984 with the aspirations of taking his Barnaby’s pizzeria recipe into grocery stores nationwide. Since then, there has been a shift in the company’s concept – no longer promoting its own brand, Little Lady Foods has expanded into the foodservice and private label markets. Under current management Little Lady Foods has grown from $100,000 in sales in 1984 to over $150 million in 2005 and now manufactures pizzas, sandwiches, and other products for the largest and most creative food companies in the world – without any signs of slowing down!
